Just a few of the vintage wedding details from Envision Wedding Studio. We are in love with mini clothespins clipping the escort cards, birch bark, kraft favor boxes, buttons and lace.

We often hear from South Dakota wedding vendors that many potential clients seem to be confused as to the order of planning an event/wedding. If you have the luxury of hiring Envision Wedding Studio to take care of your planning for you, then you won’t need to worry about this, however, if you decide to plan such a big event on your own, please pay attention. With everyday stress, timelines/deadlines, and an abundance of social and visual media at our fingertips, it’s understandable to why brides get excited about the details first. Before the “fun”, major decisions must be made – it’s true – there is an actual planning process – a general “order of planning” that should be taken into account before setting appointments with vendors.
- Plan a tentative date/time of year/month
- Create a tentative guest-list (this is needed to choose proper venues)
- Think about a theme/style – colors
- Choose a reception venue
- Choose a ceremony venue
- Hire a photographer and videographer
- Hire DJ/entertainment
- Choose your dress – bridesmaid dress – groom & groomsmen attire (as this determines style and colors for the rest of the details)
- Choose a decorator, decorative rentals and florist
- Book transportation, beauty/hair/make-up
- Choose a bake/cake designer
- Any other vendors and/or details can be hired or chosen at this time

In the midst of transition and a new website being formed, our previous blog content seems to have disappeared or become “lost”. So please be patient in the next few weeks as we start the process of repopulating and creating new posts! We have high hopes to start sharing our everyday experiences, personal opinions and of course our work and inspirations!

We had the pleasure of designing a rustic wedding invitation ensemble for a styled shoot by Jeff Sampson Photography. We crafted a 5×7 boxed invitation with kraft paper, cream burlap, jute/twine and dried natural berry.

Shauna envisioned a very classic, elegant ceremony and reception. The look was captured throughout with the perfect floral designs, cake and lighting details. The Envision Wedding Studio staff had the challenge of a complete transformation of the El Riad Shrine in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for Shauna & Travis’s cocktail hour and reception. We spent two days placing tables, black chiavari chairs and setting up the pipe and drape for the reception. The staff at Musical Edge also spent countless hours getting the lighting just right for both the cocktail hour and reception. We also coordinated the vendors and other details on the day-of to ensure a flawless event. This was an absolutely beautiful, fabulously fun event to be a part of!
